After a 22 year hiatus Nissan returned to Bathurst for 2014 to take on Mount Panorama, and unfortunately another Nismo Motorsport vehicle has been claimed in the line of duty.
After a collision with the #33 Clearwater Ferrari that lost a bunch of fluid and left the track at the top of the mountain, the Digital Age Performance Nissan GTR looks to be done for the weekend. This is following an unfortunate showing for the Deltawing at the Daytona 24 as well.
You really have to feel bad for Nissan, this has been a rough year.
C'mon Nismo - you got this.

I mean, I think I can take those parts off of their hands

Other than the DeltaWing, Nissan does not bring anything interesting to the table.
The GT-R may be fast but it is surely boring

Eh, I haven't driven one yet - but I have trouble seeing how something so fast could be as boring as people say, but I'll have to see for myself.

By boring I mean looks. There is nothing special about the GT-R. Sure it is fast but it does not evoke any emotion

Gotcha - I can definately get behind that. Compared to the older GT-R cars which were striking (if not a bit basic) the newest iteration is a bit "normal" looking.
As someone who drives a car that evokes very little "emotion" visually but certainly makes up for it with pace - I can't say that would be a deal breaker for me.
At least the design is not offensive, It just isn't a terrific successor to the bloodline.

The McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mercedes race cars look amazing. Not to mention, the sound they emit is orgasmic.
As far the Nissan goes, it's just a simple car that goes fast and works. It follows the Nissan corporate mission statement.
Mediocracy is nothing to brag about

Oh if we're strictly speaking race cars then yes, the GT-R is quite boring. I'd go as far as to say I prefer the Mazda 6 race cars (I know it's not relevant to the race, but I'm a fan)

I like Mazda cars. Driven the RX-8 and several of the consumer sedans. They are pretty fast and rather fun
